Celebrating

Celebrating is FUNdamental

Intuit encourages employees to bring their whole selves to work. The company embraces laughter, fosters camaraderie and celebrates successes. Whether you're serving customers or being served breakfast by executives, Intuit balances working hard and playing hard. From building teams to building products, we make fun a "fun"damental part of everything we do.

Green with Envy

James Breen, a sales and support consultant in Menlo Park, clicked his way to a new mint green Vespa! Intuit's month-long "Live Green Sweeps" got employees sharing their best green tips and advice. To enter, employees simply followed "Live Green Sweeps" on Yammer and responded to the green "tip of the day." James enjoyed learning from his colleagues and thought the sweepstakes was a great way "to see Intuit getting together as a more tight knit community."

Nice to Meet You Virtually

More than 800 Intuit employees worldwide work from home or at small sites. The Connecting Virtually team launched this year to fuel inclusion, engagement and social interaction, regardless of time zone. In addition to aligning with quarterly We Care and Give Back initiatives at major sites, the team hosts a series of Water Cooler chats on topics ranging from how to effectively write a self review to how to participate in World Day for Cultural Diversity. The group participated in online Bingo, complete with gift card prizes, as well as a virtual Halloween costume contest. Using Yammer, employees posted and voted on the best Halloween costumes.

Celebrating Intuit's Extreme Makeover

Intuit's Mountain View headquarters is getting a new look, complete with an outdoor amphitheater, redesigned interiors, a campus hub and new sustainable elements. Intuit is creating this change to support future growth, inspire innovation and invest in the environment. To generate buzz and excitement around what lies beyond the caution tape, Intuit's Workplace team hosted a Bay Area site social. Employees can watch hardhats at work via a live video feed from a camera installed over the construction site.

Teams that Play Together Stay Together

There's nothing more personally or professionally rewarding than celebrating big wins with the teammates who helped you get there. That's why we put a premium on group launch parties. Here are some of our high-five-worthy stories:

MoneySee, MoneyDue

MoneyDue is a mobile app that converts business appointments to payments. After it launched in the App Store, the product team converted a standing weekly team lunch into a festive celebration as a thank you for all the hard work. The crew munched on pad Thai, curries and papaya salad and demolished a MoneyDue-themed cake. The team's hard work paid off - the app received nearly 500 downloads and almost exclusively 5-star ratings in its first week!

Celebrating 1,000 Years of Experience

Almost 70 administrative assistants gathered to celebrate Administrative Professionals Week and enjoy a catered lunch and inspirational speaker on campus at Intuit headquarters. Sometimes called the "the real bosses" and "the wheels on the bus," the administrative assistants really are the pulse of the office. The executives were given fair warning that they were flying solo for the day.

The group heard from a special speaker, Linda McFarland, executive assistant to the CEO at Corsair Memory, author, trainer and coach. Linda shared stories and tips and offered new ways to think about today's professional roles.

"The most amazing statistic of the day was tallying up the combined years of administrative professional experience in the room and that number was 1,019 years. One table of six won a prize for topping the charts with 197 years of experience! We feel so fortunate that Intuit continues to support us and acknowledge us with this event. It was a memorable time for all."

New Orleans Meets San Diego

The smell of jambalaya, crawfish and cornbread greeted roughly 1,200 San Diego employees for their annual end of tax season celebration. This year's theme was Southern Jazz-Fest, complete with music and food from the region. Employees basked in the San Diego sunshine, mingled with colleagues and toasted yet another tax season.

"One of the things I love the most about Intuit is that we take the time to celebrate our successes. Tax season is like running a marathon where we get to celebrate at the finish line together. I feel like a member of a family rather than just an employee."
